Airgram Is Gone: What to Use Instead in 2026

Airgram’s own homepage carried a banner reading “Airgram joins Notta: one integrated solution for AI meeting notes and transcription” with a “Go to Notta” button next to it. As of 22 July 2026, airgram.io publishes no DNS records at all, and the Internet Archive holds no successful capture after 22 March 2024. Airgram is not a product you can sign up for. This post is about where its use cases went.

What happened to Airgram?

Airgram was absorbed into Notta. That’s stated by both sides. The final archived Airgram homepage announced the move in a site-wide banner, and Notta’s own comparison page says “Airgram has joined Notta to build one integrated solution for AI meeting notes and transcription,” which makes Notta the successor product rather than a rival. You can read that on Notta’s site.

I’ve seen a specific shutdown date circulated on aggregator sites. I’m not repeating it, because I can’t confirm it from either vendor. What I can confirm is the shape: the banner was live on captures through March 2024, and the archive stops there. Whatever the exact cutoff, it’s more than two years old now.

What Airgram actually did

Reconstructing this matters, because “Airgram alternative” means different things depending on which feature you relied on. From the archived site, Airgram supported Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and its feature navigation listed meeting notes, meeting agenda, action items, meeting recording, transcription, auto-join meeting, shareable meeting minutes, and audio or video to text conversion.

The bits people actually liked: live transcription that was searchable, editable and exportable to Notion and Slack, across English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Collaborative note-taking where every attendee could type in the same doc during the call. Video snippet clipping, so you could share the 40 seconds that mattered instead of the whole recording. A workspace that became a searchable archive for onboarding and sales coaching. And late in its life, GPT-4 powered one-click summaries. The site claimed it was “Trusted by 2,000+ ambitious teams,” which is their number, not a verified one.

“Auto-join Meeting” tells you the architecture. Airgram was bot-based. It watched your calendar and sent a participant into the call. That’s the model Notta continues.

Is Notta the right replacement, or is something else?

Notta is the direct successor and the obvious default if you want the same thing. Same category, same bot-based auto-join model, broader language coverage. Notta’s pricing page on 22 July 2026 showed Free at $0 with 1 seat, 120 transcription minutes per month, a 3-minute cap per conversation, 50 file uploads and 10 AI summaries per month. Pro was listed at $8.17 per month billed annually, total $97.99, with 1,800 transcription minutes per month and a 5-hour recording cap. Business at $16.67 per month billed annually, total $199.99, adds unlimited transcription, web meeting video recording and CRM plus Zapier integration. Enterprise is custom and starts at 51 seats. Those are the annual-billed figures displayed on the page.

Where it gets interesting is the group of former Airgram users who never really wanted a note taker. They wanted to stop being bad at the call. Airgram’s coaching-archive framing attracted a lot of sales and customer success people whose real problem was mid-call, not post-call.

That’s the gap Craqly fills. It’s a native desktop app for macOS and Windows that captures system audio locally and never joins the call as a participant. There’s no bot to auto-join because the architecture doesn’t have one. Transcription runs live, and a model streams a response into an always-on-top overlay window while the other person is still speaking. Each loads different context beforehand, so sales mode already knows your product, your battle cards and your objection responses when the call starts.

The overlay is excluded from screen capture at the OS level, so screen sharing on the same call doesn’t expose it.

Who should pick Notta over Craqly

Most former Airgram users, frankly. If what you miss is the searchable transcript archive, the exports to Notion and Slack, the shared meeting workspace, the video clipping, or the ability to record a call you didn’t attend, Notta does all of that and Craqly does none of it. Craqly has no team archive, no clip sharing, no calendar auto-join, no Notion export, and no way to capture a meeting you skipped.

Notta also beats Craqly on breadth: mobile apps, far more languages, file upload transcription for recordings you already have. Craqly only listens to what’s playing through your machine right now.

My opinion, and it may be wrong: the bot model won for meeting notes and is going to keep winning, because visible recording is easier to defend and calendar auto-join is genuinely less work. Botless is winning a different fight, the one about live assistance, where a bot’s presence in the participant list is the whole problem. Those are two markets, and Airgram’s users are splitting between them right now.

The disclosure question, briefly

Craqly includes an interview mode. Most employers prohibit undisclosed AI assistance during interviews, and a growing number ask candidates to confirm they aren’t using any. Getting caught can cost the offer. That’s worth stating plainly rather than burying. Recording law also varies: two-party consent jurisdictions require everyone on the call to agree, and a tool that doesn’t appear in the participant list removes the visual cue that recording is happening. That raises your disclosure obligation, it doesn’t remove it.

What about the full job search pipeline?
