Momentum Alternatives: When You Need a Live Copilot, Not Salesforce Automation

Uma Mahesh Bandaru Uma Mahesh Bandaru August 20, 2026 8 min read

Here is the detail that decides this whole comparison. On Momentum’s pricing page (checked 22 July 2026), conversation intelligence is not in the base product. It’s a $30 per user per month add-on, and the feature list for that add-on literally includes a “note-taker bot” and an “auto-recording bot.” Everything in the $69 base tier is about what happens to Salesforce and Slack after the call.

So if you landed here searching for a Momentum alternative because you want something whispering in your ear during a live call, I have bad news and good news. Momentum was never really that. And Craqly, which is that, cannot do about eighty percent of what Momentum does.

What Momentum actually sells

Momentum calls itself an AI revenue orchestration platform, and for once the category name is accurate. It takes unstructured signal out of customer conversations and pushes structured data into your revenue systems. Automated Salesforce field updates. Deal rooms and account rooms in Slack. AI signals that route alerts about risk and deal movement to whoever should see them. Churn risk detection. Executive briefs. Pipeline forecasting. A Snowflake sync.

The named buyer personas on their own site are CRO, RevOps, sales manager, AE, SDR and BDR teams, customer success and enablement. Notice that six of those eight are not the person on the call. That’s the product working as designed. Momentum’s job is to stop a revenue org from running on manually typed CRM notes, and by the accounts of people who use it, it does that job.

Is Craqly a Momentum alternative?

Not really, and I’d rather say so than sell you something. Momentum automates CRM data entry, deal alerting and forecasting for a revenue team. Craqly is a single-seat desktop app that gives one rep live suggestions during a call. If your reason for shopping is “Salesforce is empty and nobody logs anything,” Craqly fixes none of that.

The narrow case where the swap makes sense: you’re a founder selling, or a two person sales team at a startup, and you got quoted a per-seat platform contract for a problem you don’t have yet. You have twelve accounts. You can hold your pipeline in your head. What you actually want is help handling the objection you fumble every third call. That’s a real buyer, and for that buyer a revenue orchestration platform is expensive furniture.

The bot question, and why it’s on the pricing page

Momentum’s conversation intelligence add-on lists a note-taker bot and an auto-recording bot among its features. That’s their wording, not mine, and it’s a fair architecture to build. A bot that joins the meeting can pull clean per-speaker audio, generate SmartClips, and translate into 99 or more languages.

It also joins the meeting. Microsoft’s own developer documentation describes a meeting bot as a genuine multiparty call participant, one that shows in the roster and can be listed, muted or removed like a person: “an online meeting is a multiparty call between a set of participants” and roster capabilities include “list the participants in a call.” Your prospect sees it. Some prospects don’t care. Some ask you to remove it, and then you’ve spent the first ninety seconds of a discovery call talking about your recording stack instead of their problem.

Craqly took the other road. It’s a native macOS and Windows app that reads system audio locally through the OS capture path, on macOS via ScreenCaptureKit. Nothing joins. There’s no roster entry and no join chime. Stealth mode, which keeps the Craqly window out of screen shares, is on every plan including the free one. The tradeoff is real and I won’t hide it: local capture means one mixed audio stream, so speaker separation is weaker than what a bot with per-participant streams gets. If your deliverable is a polished multi-speaker transcript for a compliance file, a bot wins.

What the two actually cost

Momentum publishes real numbers, which is more than most of this category does. Business is $69 per user per month and covers GTM AI, call summaries, action items, email follow-ups, the Autopilot family, AI signals, workflow automation, deal rooms and account rooms. Transformation is $99 per user per month and adds executive briefs and premium support. Enterprise is custom, with discounted pricing for teams of 50 or more, and it’s where SSO and white glove onboarding live. The conversation intelligence module is $30 per user per month on top. There’s a startup plan at 50 percent off Business or Transformation for teams under 10 GTM employees. All figures checked 22 July 2026 on their own pricing page.

Craqly bills in credits. One credit equals one minute of live session, and credits reset monthly. Starter is $0 with 20 credits, all five session modes and stealth mode. Pro is $19 for 180 credits, three hours, plus session history and analytics. Pro Max is $39 for 420 credits, about seven hours, and adds custom AI personas, extended responses and multiple workspaces. Ultra is $69 for 780 credits. Annual billing takes 20 percent off.

Put concretely: a solo founder wanting live call help and post-call review pays $39 a month on Pro Max. The same person on Momentum Business plus the conversation intelligence add-on is at $99 per user per month, and they’d be paying mostly for Salesforce automation they aren’t using yet. Run that same math for a nine person team with a real pipeline and it flips completely, because $99 to keep nine reps honest in the CRM is cheap.

Where Craqly loses

Everything above the individual seat. No CRM sync, no Slack deal rooms, no churn signals, no forecasting, no executive brief, no Snowflake sync, no team analytics. Momentum’s SmartClips, which cut key moments into shareable video, have no Craqly equivalent and I don’t expect one. Craqly also doesn’t have a manager view at all, so it cannot answer “how is my team doing.” Momentum’s whole reason to exist is answering that.

An opinion you’re free to disagree with: I think most sub-ten-person sales teams buy revenue orchestration two years earlier than they need it, and the reason is that the tooling is sold to the person writing the board deck rather than the person on the call. That’s a bias, not a fact. If your board deck is the bottleneck, ignore me and buy the platform.

Who should pick Momentum

Pick Momentum if Salesforce is your system of record and it’s currently unreliable. Pick it if your team lives in Slack and you want deal alerts routed there without anyone building it. Pick it if executive briefs and forecast accuracy are what you’re judged on, or if you have 50 or more seats and can get the volume discount. Pick it if you need a searchable video library of calls for onboarding new reps, which is a genuinely underrated use of conversation intelligence.

Pick Craqly if you’re one person who wants live help on the call and doesn’t have a revenue ops problem to solve. Nothing stops you running both later. If you’re mainly here for post-call notes rather than live help, our comparison of meeting summarizer tools is the more useful page, and if the bot in the participant list is the specific irritant, read the no-bot note-taking alternatives. What about the full job search pipeline?

If you are reading this comparison, you are probably either preparing for interviews or actively in a loop. Craqly helps you during the live conversation. It does not help you get the interview in the first place.

That gap is what LastRoundAI covers, and it is worth naming because it is our sister product and because it genuinely fills a hole Craqly leaves open. LastRoundAI builds your resume and scores it for ATS parsing, searches live job boards from Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby, auto-applies with tailored resumes and cover letters (you approve every one), runs voice mock interviews with feedback, and gives you a live copilot for the calls that come out of it. The whole pipeline from “I need a job” to “I am in the room” lives on one account.

Plenty of people use both: LastRoundAI to get the interview, Craqly in the room for everything after it. The free plans on both sides are enough to decide whether the handoffs work for your search.

Selling without a RevOps team? Craqly runs on your Mac or PC, reads call audio locally, never joins the meeting, and suggests what to say while the call is still happening. Start free with 20 credits and stealth mode included.

Common questions

How much does Momentum cost?

Momentum lists Business at $69 per user per month and Transformation at $99 per user per month, with Enterprise quoted custom. The conversation intelligence module is a $30 per user per month add-on. Teams under 10 GTM employees can get 50 percent off. Figures checked 22 July 2026.

Does Momentum join my calls as a bot?

Its conversation intelligence add-on lists a note-taker bot and an auto-recording bot among its features, so yes, when that module is enabled something joins the meeting to record. The base $69 tier is focused on Salesforce and Slack automation rather than call capture.

Can Craqly replace Momentum?

No, and it would be dishonest to say otherwise. Momentum automates CRM updates, deal alerting and forecasting for a revenue team. Craqly is a single-seat live copilot with no CRM integration and no manager view. They solve different problems for different buyers.

Does Craqly show up in the participant list?

No. Craqly is a desktop app that captures system audio on your own machine and never joins the meeting, so there is no roster entry and no join notification. Stealth mode additionally keeps the window out of screen shares on every plan.

What does one Craqly credit cover?

One credit equals one minute of live session time, and credits reset every month. Starter gives 20 credits free, Pro gives 180 for $19, Pro Max gives 420 for $39 and Ultra gives 780 for $69. Yearly billing saves 20 percent.
